Organisms in the same class but different orders

CLASS: MAMMALIA


The eastern chipmunk (Tamias striatus) belongs to the Rodentia Order. Found at Lake Champlain, St. Alban's Bay VT.

The hairy-tailed mole (Parascalops breweri) belongs to the Soricomorpha Order. Found at 3341 Scotch Hollow Road, Newbury VT.


Domestic cats (Felis catus) belong to the Carnivora Order. Found at 58 Lackey Street, Westborough MA 01581.


The common bottlenose dolphin (Tursiops truncatus) belongs to the Cetacea Order. Found off the coast of Portsmouth Island, NC.
