Distinguishing characteristic between monocots and dicots



Secondary Growth:



Dicots: Secondary growth, which produces wood/bark. Bark from dogwood tree(separate tree from other example). Cornus alternifolia, 2 Butterfield Drive, Westborough, MAMonocot: No secondary growth, so no bark/wood. Daylily(separate organism from other example) plant without bark.
