Parasitism

Ochlerotatus abserratus
The mosquito is biting the humans arm and drinking the blood. This is parasitism as only the mosquito is benefiting while the human is losing out.

Monotropa uniflora
The Indian Pipe is parasitic to certain types of fungi which are mycorrhizal with trees, thus taking energy of trees that can perform photosynthesis due to the fact that the Indian Pipe has no chlorophyll of its own. Some mycorrhizal fungi can be seen in the lower left-hand corner. This is parasitism as the host fungi/tree is losing energy and food to the Indian Pipe which is benefiting from it.
