Instinctual Behavior

This snapping turtle was in the middle of the road so a women went up to it and tried nudging it with her umbrella (it's a little cut out but you can see it in the top right corner). Instinctively the turtle walked away from her into the woods.

  1. While growing up in WI, I had a neighbor that used to catch snapping turtles and turn them into turtle soup. He was missing a portion of a finger as a result of his harvesting...
