Plants Using Animals for Seed Dispersal

Rosa canina
The dogrose produces rose hips as its fruit which are eaten by animals such as squirrels, birds, deer, and rabbits who disperse the seeds of the plant after ingestion.

Fragaria viginiana
The Wild Strawberry is eaten by many animals, including birds and rodents, which in turn carry the seeds elsewhere.

  1. The photos here are not only to be of the plants but should include the animals for this category. You may reuse the photos for some other category in which they are appropriate.

  2. Does it have to be of the animals actually eating the plants or just a photo of that animal?
